Hi all,
This is our class blog slash space in the netherlands of the virtual. Let’s use it to share ideas, inspiration, comments, feedback and questions. I will use this space to post specifics on what is due per week, so please keep track as it has proven to be very useful.
For next week: Exhibition Design Execution
- narrative content & sequence should be well established and mediated through your artwork. Bring in all artwork for the 5 point narrative in their final proposed media. Also bring five 11x 17 sheets of paper that show your pieces in sequence (storyboard-like, 1 artwork oer sheet)
- space: final 3d comp proposal (not final execution, but the design criteria) Include artwork placement & be specific about scale, lighting, materials etc
After next week we will begin with the graphic language for the exhibit so start thinking about how this applies to your space (env. grpahics), what you intend to name your piece and what language will be used in your artist statement and overall textual narrative (this applies to the content you will generate for your catalog)
